Pros

I like examsoft because it was easy to use when my school switched to it. I didn’t have a hard time using it

Cons

I don’t like it because when you try to access strengths and opportunities you have to log in so many times. Also, the strength and opportunities is confusing because it doesn’t really tell me what I missed.

Pros

It is especially helpful when you can highlight part of a question while taking an exam. I have several case based questions in my exams and I like to showcase important information that helps me come up with my answers.

Cons

I don't like that the administrator can prevent you from going back to previous questions if they choose to do so.

The software was unusuable on my computer so I cannot attest to any pros

The software was non-functional as the camera on my computer did not work. As a result, I am unable to use the software, even for the sole purpose that I purchased it for.

I've used Canvas and ExamSoft, I'd pick Canvas over ExamSoft any day of the week.

Pros

You can download your exam before hand, but that's nothing special. You could download a file from an email for decades.

Cons

It's very stressful in not knowing if the program will crash. The preparation for the program is irritating, it makes you re-register even if you're using the same account... at the same school.... on the same computer.... in the same program.... it's not user-friendly. Most examination are OPEN BOOK, they don't require the system to be locked down by this invasive program.

My overall experience was very good with this software and would definitely be using this more in the future. Best software I have used of its kind.

Pros

Loved it. Absolutely loved this software. Being the principal of a high school, and especially due to the pandemic we had to find a secure software to allow students to do there assignments and examinations. This software was very easy to use and would definitely recommend this to all my colleagues.

Cons

There is barely no problems I had with this software and when I did, it was quickly resolved by the customer service.

Not as good as anticipated. Quiz on Canvas or Lockdown browser works better than examsoft.

Pros

Nice for in person quiz in class. No direct video screen monitoring but it will close background apps but require proctor in exam. Good experience of giving quiz and in classroom exam

Cons

Not user friendly. I don't know why software wants to have specific processor for optimal performance. Sometimes it creates problem in uploading quiz as examsoft disconnect network and you will have hard time in uploading.

We have used ExamSoft for several exam sessions and have never encountered any major issues. Solid product that does what you need it to.

Pros

ExamSoft is not complicated. It interfaces easily and displays cleanly. It is also good for longer essay exams due to word count features and auto spell checker.

Cons

Doesn't have a lot of "features", but doesn't necessarily need them either. Maybe some more ways for the user to customize things in terms of view, but usually most features are set by the administrator/exam giver.

ExamSoft's main issue is the ability to provide customer service to facilitate many simultaneous test-takers.

Pros

ExamSoft facilitated remote exams like the Bar Exam when in-person ones got canceled because of COVID. This was important. The user interface is not difficult.

Cons

The software can be glitchy, such as telling users they've already taken an exam when they haven't, and forcing them to call customer service for an override. Uploads also take a while. The remote proctoring software seems very sensitive to even small issues such as looking out the window or away from the screen for a few seconds.
